prepaid youth plans Q1 2009

Image

Compare the different prepaid packages offered for students!

Below are the plans offered by Celcom and Digi for students. Maxis had launched the Hotlink Campus Zone in 2005, but is no longer promoting them.

The Celcom plans, the School of X (SoX) and the University of X (UoX), are offered to anybody aged between 12 to 18 and 18 to 25 years respectively. The killer attraction of this plan is the low rate call and SMS, and even lower rate for favourite numbers.

Digi's D'Campus is offered to students in 15 universities and colleges nationwide: see here . The competing factor in this plan is extension of the attractive Digi's Friends and Family rate to ALL Digi numbers, provided that the call is made from the specified campus zone. Moreover, call is free from the campus to any Digi numbers after an minimum usage of RM1 daily. Outside the campus, the rate is 36sen/min.

Another highlight of the youth and student plans is the validity scheme. For SoX and UoX, there is no validity period until you reach the limit eligible age indicated for the plans. You will only need to reload your account to make calls, SMS and data.
For d'Campus, any amount of top up will give you 30days validity. So, an RM3 top up every month will allow you to keep the number until your student days are over.
